I am proud to announce that I am now a certified 'Sing for Health' practitioner. I strongly believe that Teachers should always keep 'Learning'. Following a one off Voice College workshop on the 'Imaginary Singer' in September 2018 I decided to book my place on this course. Four months on and several assignments later I have done it! I am privileged to work with many singers of all ages and I am now evenmore determined to spend more time sharing my love for music and helping people sing for health and well- being. My research has really opened my eyes to the benefits of singing in communities and how it can have a positive impact on specific health conditions such as Lung Health, Dementia, Parkinson's, Depression & Anxiety. Please contact me for further details or pass on my details if you know anyone or a group that would benefit from Singing Workshops or One to One tuition.

As most of you are probably aware, I have some very exciting news! I am due to open Vocalize Studios and Music Shop in the next few weeks. I am taking over the lease of The Music Shop, 9, George Walk, Kingfisher Shopping Centre. The Music Shop has been established for over 30 years and the current owners are now retiring. It would have been a terrible shame for Redditch to lose its only Music Shop so I have had many meetings with the centre management and purchased the remaining stock from the shop which has now closed. It has also given me the opportunity to pursue a real passion and I will now be able to design the space to incorporate additional teaching and recording spaces (With the help of my husband!). I hope to open the studios mid- April, I will of course invite all Vocalize members to join us for our big opening and I hope some of you will come along and sing for us!

We will be taking bookings for individual and group lessons in Singing, Piano, Keyboard, Guitar, Ukulele, Drums, Violin and Music Theory. I will be introducing our professional tutors very soon. I have had many enquiries for One 2 One Singing tuition and I will secure those lessons as soon as I have a date for opening. All my current One 2 One lessons will be moving to the Studios after the Easter Break and I will have much more flexibility for lesson times. Lesson fees will remain at £15 per 30 mins One 2 One lesson, £10 per 30 mins shared lesson, £25 per 60 mins One 2 One lesson. Students will be offered graded exams following the London College of Music and Trinity College London Rock & Pop syllabus. I will also be able to offer recording sessions very soon which can be booked in advance for gifts.

Also Coming Soon………………

Vocalize Junior & Senior Show Choir

(Please confirm availability if you are interested)

These sessions will be open to any singers who would like to develop their vocal skills further in a group setting, introducing score reading and harmony as the singers develop their confidence. There will be a focus on Musical Theatre and Contemporary Pop Songs with regular performance opportunities.

I will be booking regular Vocalize Open Mic sessions for all students who book One 2 One Tuition or attend the Show Choir sessions. I have been in discussion with local Social clubs and I will confirm the dates & venue asap.

Look out for forthcoming dates for Musical Theatre Workshops. We are looking forward to booking more West End workshops and visiting tutors who have worked on the West End shows and touring productions. We are also planning our next visit to London to perform on a West End Stage!

Thank you to all our members and their families for your ongoing support!
